Direct Cremation
Recently we have been requested to ‘simply collect the deceased and arrange for them to be cremated.’ We can assist with the provision of this type of request as a ‘Direct Cremation’.
A direct cremation is the simplest type of funeral we can provide, it is not available to be attended by family and friends (Due to the restrictions imposed by the crematoriums for this type of cremation), there will be no formal ceremony. We will simply transfer the deceased from the place of death to our premises. We will then transfer the coffin in a traditional hearse direct to a crematorium of our choosing at date and time convenient to ourselves within 10 days of being instructed. We will provide four bearers.
The cremated remains will be available for collection by the applicant, or by a nominated representative of theirs (Usually 2 working days after the cremation) in a simple suitable container from the crematorium; or may be scattered within the grounds of the crematorium (without family attendance).
